Thanks for checking out my photographs!
On 28 June 2010, I began taking at least one photograph each day. Why?
- For fun.
- For something new.
- Because my use of the many buttons on my camera conformed to the Pareto Principle.
- Because in the midst of reorganizing my professional and personal routines, a little diversion was a good thing.
- Because spending a few minutes each day to look at the usual or the exceptional then pausing to consider how I might show it to others... well, this couldn't do me harm.
The core reason, though, was the first answer: Fun! And so far, I've had tons, carrying a camera everywhere I go, snapping anything that will fit in my lens's field of view.
My camera isn’t special [1] and I'm no pro [2], but with all this practice, I'm bound to improve. I might not update the album daily, but you can bet I'll be snapping away a day. Subscribe by email or RSS to keep up, and leave a comment when you get a chance. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

[1] I'm using an Olympus Camedia C-7000 with a Li-ion battery that can go as long as twenty minutes without a recharge. Yeah, I know: get a new one. Seven years, counting.
[2] Though one time I almost sold a photograph I snapped of an ostrich chasing me. The buy offer was rescinded because-- Can you guess it?-- the image was "shaky." It was an ostrich! We were running, one of us for her life! They’re fast!
